I didn't find a reference saying that the #librephone project will be based on #aosp #android. I found articles discussing the possibility, but is there somewhere an official announcement, yet?

Generally I'd be a bit disapointed if #FSF would really base their effort on something that is completely under Googles control.

@me The thing is: Apparently the people who attended the FSF 40th anniversary aren't around here (it was streamed, too - but I've failed to find an official recording or streamdump).

So, we just won't know until the FSF gets their act together and sets up websites for the project or publishes a recording of the announcement.

The most detailed account of the announcement I've found is https://social.librem.one/@eliasr/115351642642717524
