The question about the 'patina' of a #Librem5 used daily came up on the Purism forums. I liked the idea and thought I'd post my actual state with some pictures to sometimes look back to it.

I'm using mine now for more than a year as my only mobile phone.

dropped it on this corner - the floor tile it fell on is broken also

I do not use any cover, the phone is rocksolid anyway. Some of the paint comes of at all corners.

The screen protector doesn't stick on in all places anymore. A new one is already waiting, but until now I'm too lazy…

Only thing that worries me: need to replace the middle frame, because I screwed it in using too much force and now the plastic the screw pushed on broke of and it doesn't hold the back tight to the outer frame. On this edge the metal frame is bent a bit inside - the reason why the plastic middle frame didn't slide in as expected.

@me @linmob nothing to do about the big dent, but for light white scratches, Aluminum Black does wonders

Hey, that is nice stuff

could be used to make nice signs by painting a metal plate and engraving
nice to repair dark aluminium parts in our kitchen (need to try)

Well, my Librem5 - maybe, but I like its #Librem5Patina . Reading about #AluminiumBlack actually I had the idea to maybe sand my #Librem5 to make the worn parts stand out less.

The big dent that hinders pushing in the plastic frame I'll cut out from the inside once I'll have a new plastic frame (that hopefully will carry the contact cushions for the modem).
